53, passed away peacefully in Sunnyvale, CA on October 20, 2011, surrounded by his family.

Dave attended UC Davis, and spent most of his career at Applied Materials. Dave was well loved in his community, and leaves behind many friends and admirers. He will be missed by the fans of his annual Christmas Light display in Sunnyvale, which raised over a million pounds of food for the Second Harvest Food Bank. He was an avid Giants and Niners fan, but he was never happier than when he was on the golf course.

Dave was predeceased by his parents Robert and Helen Severns. Dave was loved and now greatly missed by his wife Sharon, son & daughter-in- law Kyle and Danielle, daughter Kelsey, and her partner Nicole, his sister Nancy, and many extended family.

Donations can be made in his name to Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara County.
